Step #1: Create a design
Draw your design on a piece of blank paper, then use tracing paper to trace over your finalized drawing.

Step #2: Gather all materials
Collect the following materials—Empty Spray Can, Colored Spray Paint, Sharpie, Pencil or Willow Charcoal, Spray on Finisher or Protector, Drawing on Tracing Paper, Mask, and Sandpaper.

Step #3: Take off wrapped plastic logo
If empty spray can have a product wrapping on it, take off as much as you can.

Step #4: Sand down the entire can
Using sandpaper evenly sand down the empty spray can. This will take any residue left over from the previous step as well as help the next step.

Step #5: Spray a coat of spray paint on can
Spray paint the entire can evenly. Make sure you are in a well-ventilated area like outdoors with a mask while you safely spray paint.

Step #6: Trace design on spray can using charcoal
Once the paint is dry, scribble on the back of the tracing paper, then place the paper over the can with the drawing completely over the area you want to use. After that go over the drawing and add pressure.

Step #7: Retrace design with pencil
Remove the tracing paper then go over the design with a pencil to make it easier to go over with a Sharpie

Step #8: Go over with a sharpie
Go over the pencil drawing with a Sharpie of your choice.

Step #9: Make everything look pretty and clean
Finalize any details needed, glue down the spray top, and finish any wanted coloring.
