Recycle-a-bowl by Ruby MendezStep#1: Gather Materials
Gather all the newspapers you can & Elmer's (white) glue. Get a pair of scissors, hot glue gun, and the thinnest stick as well. Step#2: Prepare to roll Roll the newspaper from corner to corner diagonally. It should be as skinny as possible. Square cut newspapers will work best. Use small amounts of glue as you roll it. Step#3: Repeat step 2 Make a lot of those. The newspaper you use is your choice. You could paint it after. Step#4: Start building For the base you want to crease the rolls of newspaper. Make it flat from top and bottom and a little small compared to the rest. You roll it in a circle, add hot glue as you roll and make sure it's flat. Try to keep it as flat as you can or it won’t work. Step#5: Get the structure Add some vertical sticks to help build around the surface.Step#6: Build around the surface. Once you're done with the bottom you start building on top & around it so it forms the shape of a bowl/basket. You do that by moving around the bowl at a 45-degreeangle. Step#7: Dry Let it dry for about 5 minutes Step#8: Paint it (optional) Once it's dry you can add some color by painting it. |
